Lyfecycle is a masterbatch additive that modifies PE and PP to be biodegradable, using a unique technology that differs from oxidative degradation.
This is the world's first technology to biodegrade polyethylene and polypropylene in the natural environment. By simply adding 2% of a masterbatch to PE or PP, the entire resin biodegrades without leaving microplastics, thanks to our unique biotransformation technology. Since only 2% of the masterbatch is added, the original physical properties of PE and PP are almost maintained. Products molded with lyfecycle begin to decompose after the expected usage period and ultimately completely break down into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass. A significant feature is that it biodegrades without leaving microplastics.
